I looked at the number of inquiries already posted and didn't want to go through them to see if this is repeticious. So, here goes. A cousin sent this to me years ago. It is, of course, all hand written, so some things were difficult to read.

This is dated: "York 24th February 1818." I cannot read the person who signed it.

"Home District York, to wit:
I do hereby certify that Palmer Crandle of the Township of Cramahe in the Midland District came before me this day and took the oath of Allegiance to His Majesty King George the Third, agreeably to the ? of Parliament in that case made and provided."

Then it is signed with a name I can't read and has the initials "I.P." after it.
