Hello Mike, Joe M. Crieghton is listed in Charlotte, Meckienburg, NC in the 1880 census. His was listed as 60 yrs old and as a well diggher. His wife was Jame B. Creighton, listed as 44 years old and a house wife. The childrer were as follows: Francis (F 18), Joseph (M 16), Mary J (F 14), Bettie C. (F 11), Desdemona (F 9), Willie (M 7) and Francis Hutchinson (Mother-in-Law F 75) Charles was not listed, perhaps he was on his own by then. I then did a national search for Charles and came up blank. I hope this is some help to you. ~Lyn Smith~
