Richard, In the various census enumerations I have looked at, the James Monroe Brown-Mary Caldonia "Callie" Dorough family is shown living in the following areas of Walker County, Alabama: Precinct 10 High Hill (1900) Precinct 23 Liberty Hill (1910 and 1920) I do believe that Parrish was the nearest town to this area of the county. The only child I would have detailed birth information on is my great grandfather, James Mark Brown. I won't be able to look at his death certificate until tomorrow. I think it says he was born in "rural Walker County," but I am not certain. I know he was living in Parrish when he died in 1967. I will post my findings tomorrow after viewing his death certificate. Thanks for all your help. |
