Which island are you referring to. I am an Edney descendent. My family is from St. Croix US Virgin Islands. There are many Edney's on the island. And everyone with that last name is related. There is a mountain named after the Edney's in Tortola British Virgin Islands which show that some of the Ednesy's lived in the British Virgin Islands as well. We have traced our Edney's back to the 1700 when a Captain Edney came to St. Croix and shortly after married Dorothy Hugh. We can not seem to find Captain Edney anywhere. We are trying to figure out where he came from. Lea Donald
