The GARNETTs that you mention are from around the village of Kirby Lonsdale in Westmorland, England. Thomas GARNETT [abt 1580 to 1626] and his son John GARNETT [abt 1610 to 1666/7] are the earliest known ancestors in a long line of GARNETTs that continued to inhabit the north west part of England down to the present day.

I have an extensive database for this family line of GARNETTs. I also have some information on their WILLAN, WITTON and PEARSON relations. Please contact me right away for further information about this family tree.
