I must apolige for not returning to some of you. Have been in process of moving and lost touch with all of this research. I have relocated and now have a new address "up here" in Massachusetts. Left Effingham Co. Ga. in December. I was hoping to answer some questions for some of you, as I have a copy of Georgia Salzburgers and Allied Families with me. I am no expert on the Gnann family, but do have a great deal of it in my database, mostly taken from this book. I cannot, as you know post it to this site. But can scan and send excerpts from it to you. Unfortunately my friend, a descent of the Gnann's has moved also and is not yet on line at this time, but am in touch with him occasionally. Yes, this book is sometimes confusing to follow, as Pearl did this work without benefit of a computor as we have. It took us quite a long time to finally get it in order. There are two lines I belive stemming off from the origianl brothers who came to Effingham. I also recommend that you all visit the Effingham county GenWeb site, for the link is there for the Salzburger Society and other links. Also there is a list of other researchers of so many of these early families.
E-mail me personally and I will try and be of some help in the meantime.
