hi tamara was glad to get your reply. i have the book by ina shope i have only what my mother has told me my great-great grandfather was leander erwin shope born 1821. great-great grandmothr was first wife sarah ann alexander second wife mary jane creighton great grandfather william Mc rae gudger. great grandmother mary jane shope. william and mary had 9 children charles edwin, walter lee my grandfather died in 48. mildred joseph, james, robert, horace, franklin, and sarah william and mary were married in 1866. have a few more details. the old home place is it in azalea ,white house that sits up side of mt. my mother was born there.
