Tim--You mention that your ancestors spoke of being Scotch-Irish? Is this family folklore or something more substantial? I continue to believe that Nicholas had some connection with seafaring as evidenced by his first marriage into a prominent mariner family, the Evertons. His great-grandson, Ezra, became a sea captain and the latter was labeled a dour Scotsman. The origins of Nicholas remain a mystery although he appears to be the first of that name to show in New England. Another member of our collateral family is also looking into a possible No. Ireland connection. Are you and Cindy still interested in obtaining a copy of Vol. 2? Charles
