A Century In Egypt by J.A. Elkins states on page 63 "Mrs. Amanda Hodge, deceased, of Buncombe was a daughter of John Elkins" Children, Frank Hodge, Goreville, buried Busbee Cemetery, Goreville. Sharlie Betts, Buncombe, buried, Simpson Cemetery, Cora Miles, Goreville, George, Moses, Solon sons ,buried Busbee, Goreville. My grandmother, Mary Hodge Pearce buried at Mt Zion, she was a sister to William. My aunt, her daughter told me William's parents, William and Amy Hodge are buried at Simpson and the way she told me lead me to believe it is in the 'grown up' area. I don't know dates of death for Amanda, or Amy. Hope this might help.
