Isabelle Stewart was the daughter of John Stewart and Catherine Wells.
John Stewart studied law under Clark S. Grinnell of Northampton, Fulton Co., NY. He taught school until 1850 when he was admitted to the bar. He was elected to the Assembly in 1851. In 1855 he was chosen for the office of county judge and surrogate of Fulton co. He was president of First National Bank of Johnstown in 1879.
Isabelle married John B. Jusdon born abt 1861. His father was Daniel Brown Judson.
Daniel Judson was a manufacturer of gloves and mittens. His business was located on 15 East State St. Daniel first began making a few leather mittens at the house of his father about two miles north of Kingsboro removing to E. State St. about 1851.(Kingsboro is now Gloversville, Fulton Co., NY) His father was engaged in the leather glove industry in 1825. He later owned two large leather-mills where he manufacturered and dressed his own leather. At one time he employed between 250-300 laborers.
In 1888 he was Vice President of the Fulton co., National Bank
I have only one son for Isabelle and John, a John S. born about 1893.
Does anyone have connections to this Stewart or Judson Family?
I'd like to know where Isabelle and John are buried. did they move out of New York state?
