I was told that the Kathan's might be part of the Palinate Germans that went to England and Ireland, and later to America, don't know if this is true. Agnes O'CATHAN married Angus McDonald, Laird of the Isle, and there son John McDonald married Margaret Stewart princess of Scotland. Is there any relation to our Kathan's?
