I am Claudius Murray Lide, III, the direct descendant of Major Robert Lide, who was my great-great-great grandfather, and I seem to be related to alot of people, so I noticed, having just discovered this forum. I have become utterly confused as to who came before Major Robert Lide. It has been said that his father was John, Robert or David, and that his mother was Anna Crawford or Sarah Duke. Will some one please tell me the mother and father of Major Robert Lide and who came before them, keeping the Lide or Llhuyd name intact (direct line of Lides). Thank you. Murray Lide
