Thanks for your reply,Cheryl. My interest is strictly genealogical as my aunt's(Rose Clark Holsapple) mother was married to a Mr. Lockyear.I recently spoke to my cousin,Lloyd A Holsapple about his grandmother and he couldn't give me the given name of Mr. Lockyear,only said that he owned Lockyear Business College in Evansville,Ind. I would like to know his given name and if this is the correct Lockyear,his parents,birthdate,etc. I found a Christopher Lockyear in the 1820 Indiana census of Vanderburgh Co and wondered if this was his father. My cousin also remembered that his grandmother met Mr. Lockyear as a widow living in Fla at the time but knew no dates.
