My research on the London Family in Rockingham County, NC shows John Calvin London to be the son of James London and wife Judith (?). Evidently John Calvin must have been married twice. The first marriage I have nothing on, but his second marriage was to Lenora Prudence Kennon (Cannon) on July 4, 1869 in Rockingham Co., NC. The second marriage produced the following children that I have found: John William L. b. 4-25-1870; Richard A. b. 12-9-1872; Aron Stadler b. 9-3- 1875; and Calvin L. (Callie) b. 7-12-1876. The children I have for the first marriage are James A. b. approximately 1855 and Carolilna born approximately 1858. All the children for both marriages were born in Rockingham Co. I don't have any further information on James per se, but the 1870 census shows John C. London age 38 Farmer in Oregonville District, #208 with wife Lenora P. age 24; John W. L. age 1/12; James A. age 15, Farm Laborer and Caroline, age 12. Also in the household was a Mary Murphy age 70; and Joseph Adcock age 14 a black farm laborer. 1180 census taken on June 9, 1880 shows Calvin London age 49 in same township with wife Lenora 35; John W. age 9; Richard A. age 7; Aron S. age 6 Calvin age 4; and Virginia C. age 2 a niece.
