The Joseph Lopossa and Jemima you are looking for were Joseph Lobwasser and Jemima Betsaws they were married in Blount County,Tennessee December 22,1825 in the original license Joseph's name is spelled Lawpasser. Joseph was probably born in North Carolina about 1800. The Loposser family as many are now using came from Rowan County,N.C.into Washington County,Tennessee into Knox county Tenn. about 1820 and settled in the East Tennessee area. I haven't got an ancestor for your Joseph but I am sure he is a descendant of Joseph Lobwasser from Germany. I descend from Conrad Lobwasser son of John Lobwasser, son of Joseph Lobwasser who imigrated on the Ship Resturation in 1743. "Same bunch" B.Helton
