Dora isn't in Christian County. I believe it may be in Ozark County. You might check there. I did check the Missouri death certificates 1910 - 1955, and there was not one for a Phil Stowers. Sometimes, the spelling migh be difficult and you might try alterate spelling to see if you can find a death certificate. However, there were many deaths not recorded, especially that early and, of course, if the death occurred outside of Missouri, there won't be a Missouri death certificate. Sorry I don't know what sorts of records are available in Ozark County.
