VA will was actually by Thomas Hewlett/Hewlitt [JUNIOR] born ca. 1752, son of Thomas Hewlett and Martha Margaret Dillon, who were of Caroline Co. VA in 1759. It was this Thomas Hewlett Jr. who had before 19 March 1787 married the Ann/Annie Mosely/Moseley/Mosley born 29 July 1765 & bapt 17 May 1766 in Goochland Co. VA's Rev. Douglas's "Register." in oct 2008 at http://genforum.genealogy.com/cgi- bin/pageload.cgi?caroline::hewlett::641.html & other 2009 emails by Jean Buckley = Jean Gaw of Dallas TX -- gawbuck (at) sbcglobal.net it says, among other things,: I descend from Martin & Jane Henry Moseley Hewlett who left 1783 Henry County Virginia. I recently found a Caroline County VA Court records that stated a William Hewlett was orphaned and had siblings named, Martin, Thomas, Augustine, and Martha and Susanne. My Martin and Thomas married 2 Moseley sisters, Jane Henry and Ann, daughters of Samuel Moseley and Martha Hodges. Samuel Moseley is found in Goochland, then Henry and New Kent Counties. I and 3 others have deduced their father is a "Thomas" Hewlett who died about 1759 and his widow was Margaret [or else Martha (see below) ] Dillon from 2 other entries in Caroline Co. Court archives. LATER JEAN REFERS TO WIDOW'S MAIDEN NAME AS MARTHA DILLON: Caroline County [VA] Court Records dated between 1759 and 1763 that mention Hewlett orphans were appointed by Court Order wards of John Watts whom it is suspected that Martha Dillon later married.
