I just wanted to add that if you have the death record for the Henry Myers who died in Linden,MI maybe you have the death record for the wrong man. I finally found Moses as Mose Myers in Marquette co, MI 1880 with his mother (listed as Helen) and siblings James 17 b.NY Peter 5 b.MI and Elisabeth 2 b.MI
Henry was not in the home, but "Helen" is listed as married. Either she was actually already a widow or he was away from home at the time the census was taken. I noticed some of the census records say Moses' father was born in Canada. Plattsburgh is close to the Canadian border, but I don't see the family there in 1870. Do you have an actual record that says Moses was born in that town or could he have been born anywhere in NY state? If Plattsburgh is correct then maybe they left soon after he was born. Do you have Henry's date of death from the cemetery/obit to match with this death record you have? Henry Myers seems to be a common name and I found at least two born c1821 in NY so I wouldn't assume the record you have is for the right person without other facts to back it up. Stranger things have happened!
