Who were the parents of Pelig Carroll, listed in the 1850 and 1860 Federal census of Duplin County? He was born about 1813 in Duplin County according to the census. He was living in the Magnolia area with wife Mary. Children John C. and Stephen T. Carroll. A child Betsey Barber, age 12, was in the household in 1860.
