Has anyone researched past Kilby DeBose? Was Kilby a nickname? I noted in a census for North Carolina , Julia S. Lamb was a House Keeper for R. F. DeBose and in another person's research a Priscilla Lamb was married to a Anthony B. Bourdeaux, jr. Is there a connection to the DeBose family? Is Bourdeaux a truer version of the name? I saw within this research: de Bourdeaux du Bourdeaux I understand that immigrants frequently Americanized their names to help with the pronouncing and spelling of their names. Could this have happened? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you |
