Seek any info on JOHN SHARP, born 11 May 1812 (or possibly 1816/1818), in New York State, son of Dr. Philip Sharp and Elizabeth Pickett (who lived in Claverack, Columbia County, but later around Baldwinsville, Onondaga County, New York). John's first wife was Armena Adsit (1821-1841). After her death, he reportedly went west. I received the above information and believe this may be my G-G-Grandfather, JOHN A. SHARP born between 1806 and 1816 (per census records). He married Sarah Orinda (Burroughs) Kimble June 11, 1859 in Union Co. Ohio. Children of John and Sarah were: John Upton, Alonzo V., James, Mary Etta, and name unknown daughter. The family is listed in the Allen Twp., Union Co., Ohio census during the following years: 1860, 1870, 1880. He is listed in the census as being born in New York. John probably died prior to 1900. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
