I am interested in exchanging information with descendants of Sarah Peck (b. in New York abt. 1832), daughter of Dexter and Mary (Polly) Peck of Harrisburg, Lewis County, New York. Sarah first married Frederick Denio and they lived in LeRay, Jefferson Co., NY. After Frederick died in 1861 Sarah re-married to William Wolfe. They were living in LeRay, Jefferson Co., NY at the time of the 1870 census. I have been unable to find a trace of Sarah or William until 1897 when she was mentioned in her brother Monroe’s obituary and was living in Austin, Mower Co., Minnesota. Perhaps descendants on Sarah’s siblings can provide information on the Dexter Peck family. I am particularly interested in information on Sarah’s eldest brother Elias Peck (b. 1815) who lived in Clayton, Jefferson Co., NY in 1842 as well as his wife. Sarah’s other siblings were Monroe Peck (1818-1897), Francis Peck (b. 1821) and Emma (Amy) Peck (b. 1829). Monroe settled in Dodge Co, Wisconsin, then in Iowa, and finally in Mower Co., Minnesota. Francis settled in Dodge Co., Wisconsin, and then in Iowa. Emma and her husband E. Ninde Thomas (1827-1874) lived in Adams, Jefferson Co., New York. Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Joann |
