I'm searching for help to find the missing links to tie Mary Katherine GINDLESPERGER to the Ulrich GINDLESPERGER line. Mary Katherine was often known as either Mary or Kathering, but usually not both at the same time. She was born 1843/4 Holmes County, Ohio. She married Emanuel Swihart 1864/66 just before moving to Jasper County, Iowa. She gave birth to their first child, Mary Catherine abt. 1864/5, and their second child (Allie) Alice Wilmina on 7 Dec, 1866 (My Ggrandmother). Their third child Joseph Elsworth Swihart was born abt. 1872 Jasper County, Ohio. I don't know when Mary Katherine died, but it was probably before 1880. Emanuel Swihart mar. (2) Polly, followed by (3) Ellen Annetta Gerhart on 11 Sept. 1884. Emanuel died a short while later on 27 Oct, 1886 Newton, Jasper County.

I believe that the parents of Mary Katherine GINDLESPERGER were John GINDLESPERGER b. abt. 1812 in Somerset County, PA. Her mother was Mary (?) b. abt. 1817 Somerset County. If this correct then John's father was John GENDLESPERGER b. abt. 1784 Somerset County, PA. He had 11 children. Can someone please help verfify this? Am I on the right track?

Is anyone searching for details on Alice Wilmina Swihart, daughter to Mary Katherine Gindlesperger and her generations leading to me?
