I'm searching for information regarding my great-grandfather, John Benjamin Valentine, and his brother, Samuel Houston Valentine, both of whom lived in Beckham Co OK at the end of their lives. Ben died in 1959 at the State Hospital in Woodward Co. OK, and Sam died in Beckham Co OK in 1969. I believe that Ben is buried in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery near Sayre, but I can't find a confirmation of this in the available online cemetery records. I have found the listing of his second wife, Ruby L. Valentine, in the online records for that cemetery. Sam is buried in Grandview Cemetery near Elk City OK, along with his wife Iva and son Hubert. I would be interested in any confirming details, such as a cemetery listing for Ben's burial location or obituaries published in the local newspapers, to help me sort out these details about my two ancestors.
