John W. Dennis was the son of Abraham Dennis and Rosanna Groff. He was born in Feb 1870 in Lancaster County. Married Anna/Annie <Unknown> 1892/1893, settled in Downingtown, Chester Co. Four children were born there: Latona Maud Dennis Nov 3, 1893. Sarah K. Dennis Feb 19, 1896. Charles Lowrey (mabye Lowry) Dennis Oct 22, 1900. Thomas Groff Dennis Dec 6, 1903. The family moved to Harrisburg around 1911 or so based on land records from Chester Co. I have no idea what happened with Latona and Sarah. They disappear from the family in the 1920 census. Charles married Margaret around 1922 and had a son John in 1923 (based on 1930 census) and died in July 1966 (from SSDI). Thomas was living with his parents and was a dentist in the 1930 census and died in August 1966 (from SSDI) Would love to find out what happened to the family to fill in my family tree.
