When flipping through some old Wills for New Jersey, I stumbled on the name Peter Rake, who was a Witness for the Will of Isaac Larue on July 5, 1803. Also, a Peter Rake is listed as a Juror in a Supreme Court case in 1785. This places him in Hunterdon County, New Jersey and possibly from Amwell Township where so many other Rake's lived. Based on this information, Peter had to have been born prior to 1767. I don't believe he is a son of John & Else Rake since he was mentioned in John Rake Sr. Will in 1805.
Does anyone have a additional information on him?
