I'm trying to trace the history of Matthew H. Rayhill 1781-1855. Believe he came from Virginia to Washington Co, Indiana in the early 1800s. One descendant moved to Perry Co, Indiana, but many of his descendants seemed to have migrated mainly to 2 Illinois counties by the late 1800s, that is to St. Clair Co., IL (where there is a Rayhill Cemetery) and to Christian Co, IL, there mostly buried at the Mound Cemetery at Pana, IL. I'd like to know if anyone can fill me in on early history of the line back in Virginia and when they are alleged to have migrated to Washington County, Indiana. - Thank you, Allan Griffith, Bloomington, Illinois - magrif@verizon.net
