I am looking for information on this family, and specifically any records of a structure fire or other calamitous loss suffered by them (home or business) in the 1800's, probably in the Rochester area. Whatever this loss was, it was a substantial one, apparently resulting in at least one fatality. I need to establish a date for the fire (?), for further research into the incident. My relative's journal simply states that his wife's brother was the one who "died in the Rex property." I am assuming that this was a fire.
