Arnold's Vital Record of RI p52 lists Phanney b Jan 19, 1761 as daughter of Edward Wells b Feb 23, 1726 and Elizabeth Sheffield b Oct 1, 1726. The book lists 8 children and a death date for Sheffield b Dec 13, 1755 and died Nov 11, 1759. This information concerns Hopkington, RI. I'm not sure this is my family but am researching Wells hoping to make a connection to Peter Palmer Wells who married Abigail Sweet abt 1811 and settled in Brome, Canada. The Sweets (Isaiah, Amos, Richard who m Priscilla Carpenter), John)lived in RI before moving to NY.
