My mother was born in Rhynam NC in 1919.In 1920 she was listed in the Robeson County census with her mother and father.They were Lula and Frank Chestine.Her name was Allen(changed to Aline later because she was a girl)They moved to Hammer where my mom grew up ,worked in the cotton mill from age 14 until we moved to Michigan in 1954.I cannot find her dad parents.Her gfather had the name of Pinckney Chasteen.Her gmother we do not know.Trying for over 3 years with no success.Took mom home before she died (she died May 24,2004) and went to Rhyam.She was born over by the woods is what she said as we past a graveyard in Rhyan.It was Thompson twp.Still searching for a Pickney Chasteen with sons Grover and Frank andd daughter Roxann. vivian
