Jeremias Shreckengast ... or as appeared in the 1764 ships registry as the Shreckangst family ... was apparently an orphan born in 1639. I am trying to locate his lines and confirm the yDNA testing we have. If you are a male in his direck line, there is an opportunity for a free basic test at SMGF.org ... it takes about six weeks to get the results and they require a genealogy which dates back to 1900 or earlier ... please submit a kit request and let me know to look for the results. The preliminary results indicate this is a VERY important family line ... it dates back to the Black Sea in pre-biblical times ... and it's current markers are found at the birthplace of EVERY major religion -- and in the times and conditions associated with the invention, or introduction, of writing in those regions. We need hard confirmation of the genetic line, and data which might help determine mutation rates of the various long-term markers. Thank you |
