Trying to find any information regarding the above.

She was married to my great grandmother's cousin Robert Herbert Scotter, a Barrister some time before 1893.

She is a bit of an enigma. She was definitely born around 1860, either in California, USA or in Croydon, UK.

Different UK census returns give her birth place as either of the above. They are also transcribed as Robert & Mogra Scotter, Herbert and Eleanora Scotter and Herbert and Eleanora Scatter. Robert Herbert did drop the "Robert" to stop confusion with his father.

She is on her sons (Francis Sebastian Scotter's)birth certificate in 1893 as Eleanor Noel Scotter (Sebastian).

I have found Francis Sebastian being born, them on the 1901 UK census, and Robert/Herbert's second marriage and 1911 census after she died, but otherwise she is missing from everything else unless there is some massive transcription error. I also cannot find them marrying.

Any assistance would be gratefully received if they are in your tree

Thanks
Ruth
