Does anyone know who this Malissa/Melissa is? No husband is listed but she fits to be Wiley (Jacob Secrest, Jr.'s son) Secrest's wife, Melissa/Millecy Laney. All the children were born in TN. Legend has it that Wiley and family were going to Tx but Wiley became ill in Alabama. Did she go on to Texas? If she is Wiley's wife then the other children stayed in AL. Melissa Secrest shows up in both TX and AL census in 1860, same age. Does anyone have any ideas? Terressa was my great gm. She married Wesley P.
