I am trying to find out information on the union of Jane Skelton b 10 Mar 1776 in Yorkshire who marries William Arnott in 2 Dec 1794 in Bossal Yorkshire. They have 2 known children (that I'm aware of): William born 1810 and Jane born 1817, both in Bugthorpe Yorkshire. The family moves to Canada sometime prior to the marriage of Jane to John Cross in 1835, Murray Twp, Northumberland Ontario. John Cross is my lineage. Family members appear on the earliest Canada census of 1851: William Sr, his sons William Jr and Wilson. No mention of daughter Jane as she has married, and no mention of William Sr's wife Jane (Skelton) who I assume has died. Any help with the Skelton and Arnott marriage would be appreciated. I can provide lots of info for Arnotts in Canada in exchange
