Per 1851 census, John Standen was born about 1803 in Cuckfield, Sussex. Unable to find baptism details. Married Ann Brown in Surrey in 1829. Known children William b 1836 Brighton, Thomas b 1838 Brighton, John b 1841 Cuckfield married to Mercy Haffenden, Edward b 1842 Bridgingley Surrey, Henry b 1844 Crawley Sussex and Michael born 1848 Brighton.
