GOOD for you, Barbara,

I have been trying (it seems FOREVER) to debunk the "Denyce" and other invalid surnames for Geerjte Dircks, wife of Albert Albertse TerHeunen.

As you so clearly state - there is NO documentation as to her parents. Our ONLY documentation as to her identity are as follows:

[1684 baptisms] pg. 132 [Onderdonk]:

April 13. Albert, child of Jan Albertz, Anetje Roelofs Schenk.
Wtnesses: Albert de Lintaerer, Gertie, w.

Flatbush DRC (edited by David William Voorhees) substantiates the above:
page 429 shows
child "Albert" baptized on 13 April 1684 at [New] Amersfoort.
His parents were Jan Albertsz and Annetje Rulofs.
The witnesses were "Albert De Lintwever, and his wife, Geertje".

Calendar of Historical Manuscripts...by E. B. O'Callaghan
On pages 314-315 in Volume 4,
Albert's wife is referred to in a Court action as "Geertje Dircks, Albert Albertsen the ribbon weaver's wife".

Geertje was either daughter of a Dirck or perhaps even a widow of a Dircks. We simply don't know.

To the best of my knowledge - no other documentation exists to identify Albert's wife with any certainty.
