I am addressing this to any descendant of Margaret E. Terrell and her husband, Miles "Henderson" Carter. She was a sister to my mother's grandfather, Henry W. Terrell. I am still trying to find who his parents were and I am grasping at straws for any clues. I do know that he and Margaret had a younger sister Rebecca who married George W. Dorsett.

Below I did a 'copy and paste' of an entry by Pat Connerly Gordon on Roots Web of this family. She indicates that in the 1880 census of Lawrence Co., IN, living with them was "Mary Terrell, age 37, niece". This means that either Mary was related by marriage and perhaps her husband, a Terrell, had died, or, she was blood relation and never married. There are no children listed for her so I am guessing it is the latter.

Regardless, this means she was a daughter of a brother to Margaret and Henry or married to a Terrell son. If anyone has any idea who this Mary is, I would be most grateful.
