I am working on an extended family tree chart from information my brother put together a few years ago. I want to include spouses and children of siblings of my direct ancestors. I am new to this, and I can't figure out how to do that without crossing lines. For example, for my maternal grandparents, to have them beside each other but still in birth order in their respective families, my grandfather's line to his parents crosses the line for my grandmother's siblings. I could either leave him there and add a second box for him over to the left and put his family there, or I could put them at the right and left ends of the respective lines for their families, even though that would the put them out of birth order. I would probably also run into the same problem elsewhere. Any input anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks.
