Hi - my branch of the Travieso family is the understanding that they came from the Canaries in 1731 - landed in New Spain (Mexico)- Saltillo and travelled to the settled into (what is now modern-day)San Antonio in 1732. These were among the first permanent Spanish settlers of Texas.
From what I understand, the UT (University of Texas library) has a collection of papers from colonial Texas - including the Canary settlers. I don't know if this is the branch of your family, but it may be a start. Good luck..
