Hi! I went to the National Archives and looked at the record of Barnabus Traylor who fought for the Union during the Civil War. He was captured in the Battle of Richmond KY, but of course as descendants we know that he did not die until 1912. I was wondering if anybody has any family history of his fighting records. I also copied a letter from the record of Cary Traylor (his brother ) from his Civil War file. I don't think this outfit was very well suited up because Cary Traylor was arrested for stealing two shirts and a pair of breeches. Barnabus Traylor was 41 by the time he got out of the Union Army and I think it is a major miracle that he did not die during the war. Pamela
