Hello, In regards to your query regarding your grandfather, Carl Dewitt Trogdon, I found that he was born born 8/28/1896 in Randolph Co., NC and died died 10/30/1978 in Forsyth Co., NC. He married Ada Kinney born 4/22/1893 and died 6/28/1988. Your great-grandfather was John Milton Trogdon who was born 10/9/1862 and died 10/12/1957. John Milton died in Forsyth Co., NC at Country Side Nursing Home. Cause of death was listed as Senility. Informant was C.D. Trogdon, Rt. 1, Walkertown, NC. John Milton was the son of John Trogdon and Sarah Glascoe. He is buried at Brower's Chapel United Methodist Church in Randolph Co., NC...I could not find a death certificate or further information on your great-grandmother, Mary Kemp Trogdon. In regards to your grandfather's sister, Lola Underwood, she was born 9/14/1889 and died 7/10/1959. She was married to James Daniel Underwood and died at Cone Hospital from clear cells in her right kidney. She is buried at Moriah Methodist Church in Guilford Co., NC. I could continue rambling on about John Milton's ancestry. A very good source of information is Jean Covington LaCoss.
