I'm very confused about Trues in New Hampshire and would love some help. My mom's research before her death shows Eliza True (b. 1843)marrying Patrick Donahue of Lawrence MA. Family legend is that she was disowned for marrying an inappropriate character. Her parents are shown as Joseph True (b. 1800) and Susan McCoy (b. 1810) Joseph's parents are shown as Levi True (b. 1770) and Betsy True (b. 1772). However, things just don't seem to fit, and I can find very little about any of these folks. Possibly Eliza is actually the daughter of Hale True and Clarrisa Weston also of NH (b.1830). I really want to straighten out this connection-or lack of one. Many thanks for help, and I am happy to share descendents if you are interested. Deb |
