The following is the will of Edmund Tunstall 1762-1818, son of Thomas Tunstall and Ruth Vicory.

Will book 1 p.311-313

I Edmund Tunstall of the County of Hopkins and State of Kentucky being of sound mind and memory do constitute this my last will and testament.
Item First. It is my wish and desire that all my just debts be paid.
Secondly. My Executor herein after named pay unto my son William V Tunstall fifty cents and that he be kept from interfering with any part of my stock or crop on the premisce.
Thirdly. It is my desire that my Executor do sell my stock of hogs cattle and horses and hire out my negroes at twelve month credit on the first day of January. Also my crop of corn, household and kitchen furniture and plantation utensils.
Fourth. That it is my desire that my Executor do give all monies bonds, and papers that may be in there possession when they become due direct? to my sons George, Peyton and Edmund Tunstall to be divided equally between them.
Fifth. It is my desire that my three sons George Peyton and Edmund do give to my daughter Ruth a negro girl named Rhoda as I always intended she should have said girl.
Sixth. I desire my Executor do pay Mary Stewart two hundred dollars, money the said Mary have advanced to me. it is also my wish that my Executors shall pay the said Mary interest on said two hundred dollars, from this date until paid. I also give my riding mare Mantrix to the said Mary Stewart to her use forever. And lastly, I do hereby appoint William Davis and John Davis my Executors to this my will & Testament signed sealed this 29th day of August 1818.

The foregoing Last will & Testament of Edmund Tunstall decd was proven by John Davis subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be certified.

The foregoing last will & Testament of Edmund Tunstall deceased was fully proven by the oath of John Davis third witness thereto and ordered to be made of record.
