There are almost as many online "Walls" as there are replications of the Vietnam War Memorial. Shortly after the Vietnam War Memorial in Wash DC was inaugurated in 1981 practically every Vietnam vet looking for the same publicity Jan Scruggs got established a Vietnam War Memorial in his city... county... tri-county... state... even High School.

Now that the internet exists there are thousands of Vietnam vets creating Vietnam War Memorial webpages. In 1985, four years after the DC Wall was built, a writer said: "One day there will be more Vietnam War Memorials in this country than there will be Vietnam vets."

That day is almost here. Of the 2,709,918 men and women who served in Vietnam less than 800,000 are alive today... not counting the 12,000,000 phony Vietnam wannabes who claim they served in Vietnam...
