By process of elimination of names and considering descendants names, migration, etc., I had believed for some time that my ancestor James A. Wade b 1820 GA was most likely the son of a (?)James Wade We know that the latter (?)James was the son of Benjamin b 1750 VA and his first wife, whom I believe was ? Hamlin. (?)James was b in SC as was his brother William L. Wade. Posting # 2113 states the following: Date: April 11, 2000 at 18:04:58 of 6752 "I am looking for information on William Lewis Wade who married Sarah P. Simons in Warren Co, Ga 8 March 1801. William had a brother James. His father was Benjamin Wade. William was probably born in South Carolina about 1775. by Thomas A. Wade, Jr." The above William Lewis/Louis Wade b 1802 SC was the Uncle of my James A. Wade b 1820 who m Mary Elizabeth Thompson in Greene Co., GA, and settled to Talbot Co., GA by 1850. I shall try to attempt to locate Thomas A. Wade, Jr., who only made one posting in GenForum in the year 2000. It seems that I am correct about my ancestor's name being James. Would like more information. Family information indicated that he was a Methodist minister. Any help would be appreciated. W. Ray Walker
