Hi: just to bring you up to date on this Julia Ellingson that was listed in the asylum in the 1930 census. Her death certificate shows that she was the widow of Elling Ellingson. Her parents were Bottlof and Julia Tollifson, who just lived a couple of farms over from Ole Ellingston. Julia Tollifson was born in 1877 and died on April 5, 1935. I can find no marriage record for Elling and Julia in the Green Co. courthouse nor can I find a death certificte for Elling Ellingson. Where the Ellingson family lived is right on the Wisconsin/Illinois state line and the people walked back and forth all the time. I doubt if I could petition the District Court to release her committement papers as I am not a direct relative. So, I guess the search goes on. I found no birth, marriage or death records for the Gollick Ellingson family except the death certificates for Gollick and his wife Christy. The kids must have headed west. Thanks again for all of your help. Leon |
