CHALONER of Steeple Claydon, Bucks., Eng
Hello:
I have been transcribing from some old records on the villages of Steeple Claydon and Middle Claydon in northern Buckinghamshire, England.There was once an influential and titled family of CHALONER / CHALLONER in this area and the following records come from that period.Most of the CHALONER family sold off piecemeal parcels of their large estates in the period 1680 to 1710.
I hope this proves useful to one of the researchers on this list.

Baptized - Chaloner, son of William WEBB and Elizabeth, 12 Jan 1742.
(Based on the name of their child and location, perhaps this is a related family.)
Baptized - Margaret, dau of Charles CHALLONER, gentleman, and Catherine his wife.
Married - John JORDON of Broughton in the parish of Bierton and Christian CHALLONER of this parish were married by banns, 1 Mar 1715.
