BIOGRAPHICAL Prentiss Glazier thinks Joseph and Sarah are the ones buried in the Lima Cemetery, near his mother Lucy. He reports they were living in Mendon, Monroe Co., NY, at the time of the New York State Census of 1855, with the children as listed. The bible record of her parents was published in the Publications of the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, Vol. 9 [not seen]. According to this record, she was born 7 Oct 1786; however, computing her birthdate from her age as given on her gravestone yields a birthdate of 1 Oct 1786. The bible record also says she “married and had issue; resided Lima, NY.” His birthdate is computed from his gravestone record. Not yet proven that he was a son of Benjamin⁵ Chamberlin [LN 1104], but the available evidence points to it. See 1850 census, Mendon, Monroe Co., NY. PREPARATION OF THIS RECORD This record was prepared by the late David C. Chamberlin Sr., using data obtained from various sources as listed.
