WILLIAM EARL CHANCE
PATTERSON, N.J. — William Earl Chance, 56, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Church of Christ with Apostle Ernest Dickens officiating.
Burial was at Pinelawn Cemetery, Bethel.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Chance; five sons, Bobby Andrew of Parmale, Jamie Andrew of Greenville, Tryone Chance of Rocky Mount, Jerome Risher and Gregory Burgess, both of Patterson; four daughters, Cathy Andrews and Khristy Andrews, both of Greenville, Tina Risher of Jacksonville and Dorothy Harper of Virginia; one stepson, Nathaniel Simon of Patterson; one stepdaughter, Robin Burgess of Patterson; father, James Chance of Tarboro; seven brothers, Melvin Chance of Long Island, N.Y., Kenneth Chance of Garner, Michael Chance, Ronald Chance and Dennis Chance of Rocky Mount, Bobby Chance and James Chance, both of Tarboro; one stepbrother, Willie Barnes of Augusta, Ga., seven sisters, Minnie Whitehead, Elnora McFarlin and Addie Dickens, all of Rocky Mount, Sally Lancaster and Carolyn McFarlin, both of Tarboro, Delnora Johnson of Pinetops and Sylvia Powell of Queens, N.Y.; one stepsister, Cozette Gray of Tarboro and 23 grandchildren.
Family will be receiving friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hembry-Willoughby Mortuary Inc. in Tarboro.
