When Michael Roy Charleville died, Louise Carron was left
with too many mouths to feed.I know, for a fact, that my
g-grandfather, Peter, and his sister, mary, were "farmed
out" to other Carron families.Peter and Mary went to live
with a Louis Carron. The only child Louise took with her
was her baby, Clovis. She went to live with an uncle named
Alexis Carron.
I've been in contact with a descendant of Clovis Charleville.Clovis grew up thinking he was an only child
I guess. So sad, but back then, that is what they did.
Big families, the breadwinner dies, and back then, women
either remarried or became servants.Or worse.
